Generate images without leaving the conversation.

Lumen connects your own OpenAI or Google key to your AI assistant, so an image is one request away while you work. You bring the key. We bring the bridge.

See how it works

Before you sign up — one current limitation

When you generate an image through the connector, your assistant can see and describe it, but most AI chat apps do not yet display the image inline in the chat. You'll find each image three ways: in the message's collapsed "tool result", via a link Lumen returns in the reply, and in your dashboard gallery. Generating from the Lumen dashboard itself does show images immediately.

This is a limitation of the chat clients, not a Lumen bug.

Three steps

From key to image

01

Add your key

Paste your OpenAI or Google API key. It is encrypted before it touches storage and never shown again.

02

Connect your assistant

Add your connection URL to your AI assistant as a custom connector. One link, scoped to you.

03

Ask for an image

Ask your assistant for an image. It calls Lumen, your key generates it, and you get a link to the image plus a copy in your dashboard gallery.

Pricing

You pay for the convenience, not the compute

Model costs run on your own key. These plans cover the bridge: storage, history, and generating right inside your chat.

Need more than your plan includes? Buy a credit pack anytime. Credits never charge per image, so small top-ups stay efficient.

Provider keys

Bring your own key. Stored encrypted, used only to generate your images.

Don't have a key yet? Create one at OpenAI, Google AI Studio, or fal.ai (FLUX — clean, no watermark), then paste it below. Your provider account needs billing enabled — you pay them directly for what you generate, and we charge only for the bridge.

Tip: for security, restrict your key to just the image API — Google keys to the Gemini API, OpenAI keys via a project scoped to image generation. Keys are stored encrypted and never shown again.

OpenAI: not set Google: not set FLUX (fal.ai): not set Topaz (enhance): not set

Connect your AI assistant

In your assistant: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Paste the URL below, click Connect, and sign in with your Lumen account when prompted — no token to copy.

Authentication uses a secure sign-in (OAuth). Your assistant never sees your password or your provider key.

Test a generation

Confirm everything works before you connect your assistant.

Enhance / upscale

Sharpen and upscale one of your own images with Topaz Labs (needs a Topaz key above). Paste a Lumen image URL from your gallery.

Set an exact width/height for a specific size (e.g. a WordPress featured image); factor is used only if width/height are blank.

Your images

Every image you've generated — here, from the dashboard, or via the connector. Click any image to open the full size.

Delete account

Permanently delete your account, your stored provider key, and all of your generated images. This cannot be undone.
